Goodness! What would the Victorians have said about this piece from Boca Do Lobo, bringing sexy back (front and sides!)… what with their fetish for covering up furniture so as to save immodest thoughts about a ‘well turned’ table leg?!!
Who cares! All we know is that we love the come hither looks of the Mondrian range, with their contra-drawer linings, multiple compartments, brassy pull handles and glossy lacquered finish which, incidently, we couldn’t stop stroking – much to the amusement of the BDL team who say it is a common response to their furniture – when we saw the sideboard recently showcased at CDW.
BOCA DO LOBO describe their furniture as “…an exclusive emotional experience, a sense of belonging and a state of mind. We strive to encourage sensational experiences by creating beautiful pieces which are passionately inspired and handcrafted in Portugal by a staff that loves what they do; experiences which pass on the feeling of exclusivity”.
Looking out for a project as we write, where we can spec this beauty as part of a fantasy-esque hotel themed bedroom or retail window display – more than enough features to attract the eye of even the most errant passer-by and draw them inside!
