Concrete drawers? It sounds like a term the Mafia might use, but these drawers by GIQ and Sai Industries at the House of Detention during Clerkenwell Design Week are anything but sinister.

A 3mm concrete veneer never before seen in furniture applications, creates functional, elegant pieces with the cool, smooth touch and the solid look of concrete, contrasted with timber details.

Designed by Italian brothers Stefano and Francesco Borella , the bespoke furniture pieces are made to order to maintain exclusivity.
